Alvy “Al” Leroy Fox, 82, of Toutle, Washington, died at home on August 21, 2025. He was born in Kelso, Washington, on July 21, 1943, to Alvy and Mary Fox and spent most of his life in Toutle, where he built a legacy of hard work, friendship, and generosity.
Al proudly served in the U.S. Navy before beginning a long and dedicated career as a plumber and pipe fitter with JH Kelly. He was respected for his skill and work ethic but even more so for his honesty, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alvy and Mary Fox; his wife, Clara Fox; and his brother, William Fox. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Nathan) Link; grandsons Drew (Katy) Johnson, Spencer (Vy) Link, and Shane Music; and sister Patricia (Rob) Conoly.
And partner Patty Alger, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Al lived a life filled with the things he loved most—hunting, trapping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Wednesdays were special to him for his council meetings, where he enjoyed hanging with his friends and conversation. He gave generously to many charities and found joy in helping others whenever he could.
Graveside services will be held at Silver Lake Cemetery on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A potluck reception will follow at the Castle Rock Eagles, where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories.
Viewing will be held at Hubbards Funeral Home in Castle Rock on September 3 and 4. Flowers may also be sent there in his honor.
Al will be remembered for his giving heart, his strength, and his love for family, friends, and community. He will be deeply missed.
