It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Duane G. Lovette on July 26,2025, at the age of 86.

Duane was a devoted husband and father who left behind his wife of 64 years, Livonia (Lee), his three children Michael, Linda and Jon, his grandchildren Abram and Simon, and his great grandchildren Clark and Wyatt.

Duane was born in Portland, Oregon to Garry and Velma Lovette and was raised In Willamina, Oregon. They moved to Vancouver, Washington during his junior year of high school, where he completed high school. After graduating high school Duane served in the Navy.

His love of wildlife and nature led him to work for the Washington Department of Fisheries for 10 years. Duane then moved his family to Anchorage, Alaska where he worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Duane and his wife retired from Alaska to Castle Rock, Washington to be closer to their family.

Duane loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved woodworking and had his own small woodworking business for many years. Duane was a very friendly and giving person who enjoyed helping others. He was a member of the Elks and Castle Rock Lions Club for several years. He volunteered for many organizations throughout his life, but most recently for the Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center.


We will love and miss him forever.
