September 27, 1962 — December 6, 2023

Castle Rock

Gerald Lynn Covington affectionately known as Jerry, age 61 passed away on Wednesday December 6 2023 at his home in Castle Rock, WA. After a courageous 11 year battle with lung cancer.

Jerry was born September 27 1962 in Kennewick, WA. To Alvie and Donna Covington. Jerry was a 1981 graduate at Pasco High School, Washington.

After a brief career selling life insurance, Jerry found his passion for pizza. He became a Domino’s Pizza Franchisee in 1988, when he bought his first Domino’s in Pendleton, Oregon. Over the years he grew his company ( Round-Up Pizza Inc.) Opening another 8 stores in Eastern Oregon and Washington. 30 plus years as a franchisee, Jerry was known as a great motivator, positive owner, and expected quality pizza and customer service from his staff. Jerry supported the communities at each and every store location.

In December 1988 Jerry married Spring Bullock. Together they built their business and, shared the love of their favorite NFL team, Seattle Seahawks. Over the season’s Jerry and Spring went to many home games, as well as a few that were away. The highlight as Seahawks fans was getting tickets to go to Detroit in 2006 for the Seahawks first Superbowl.

After years of hard work paid off, Jerry started traveling and didn’t stop. Many, many trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Twice he was able to take the kids and grandkids. With the most recent being February 2021. Let’s take a look, Grand Cayman, Aruba, Cozumel, Cancun, and Cabo just to name a few. Cabo was always special, every trip was with good friends Glenn and Sharon Gaboury. Jerry’s final trip was an Alaskan cruise in August of 2023. Everybody who knew him knew tropical and sunshine were his favorite.

The last few years when Jerry’s lungs limited his activities, he found a profound passion for his country, and politics. Boy, did he know his stuff. Jerry would want me to say he was a true Patriot.

Jerry is survived by, wife Spring, Father Alvie Covington ( sadly Alvie passed January 1 2024), Mother Donna Covington, sister Cheryl Covington (Tina), stepson Carl Bullock, stepson Matthew Bullock (Kendra) 4 grandchildren Colton Bullock, Kylee Bullock, William Bullock, Issabella Bullock, and, beloved dog Bella.
