Russell Lee Allen

February 10, 1957 — November 15, 2021

Russell Lee Allen, 64, of Castle Rock, Wash., died Monday, November 15, 2021, at St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash. Russell was born in Tempe, Ariz., February 10, 1957, to Rodney and Mary Allen.

When he was young, his family moved to California, where he attended and graduated from Tranquility High School. He met his future wife, Flora Niven, at a party in Tranquility in August of 1972, and the two were inseparable since then.

Russell was a farmer from 1976 to 2000 before moving to Washington 20 years ago. He found work here as a Millwright, and enjoyed the change of pace. He and Flora have lived in the Castle Rock area for the last 16 years.

Russell could best be described as a ‘big bear.’ He was a social butterfly that loved visiting with others and people were drawn to. He was willing to help anyone that needed it; and loved woodworking and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Russell is remembered fondly by his wife, Flora; sons, Scott (Monika), Jeffery, and Rodney, of Castle Rock; brothers, Randy, of Castle Rock, Rex of Longview, Wash., and Ronnie of New Mex.; and grandchildren, Kailyn, Kayden, Cameron, Anthony, Matthew, and Maleah.

A celebration of his life will be held from 11:30 AM to 3 PM Saturday, December 11, at Canterbury Park, 1335 Third Ave, Longview. Arrangements are in the care of Hubbard Funeral Home in Castle Rock.
