Tressie Lee
Chambers
May 19, 1951 – March 28, 2026
Tressie passed away at home in Longview, WA with her loved ones. She was surrounded with a lot of love and faith.
Tressie was a mom to 4, bonus mom to 4 and she adopted her granddaughter. She lived a very giving life. She was always giving even when her cup was empty, it is what filled her heart with joy.
She loved gardening, playing with the chickens, ducks, and other farm animals. She loved spending time with her family the most.
Tressie worked in nursing homes and fish canneries, but her most fulfilling and rewarding was working at the Washington state work release for the Washington state prisons in Longview, WA. This was the one job and the longest held, that held a huge spot in her heart. She was always going above and beyond for the " residents", she called them her kids. They loved her like a mom/grandma.
Tressie has 9 grandchildren and several bonus grandchildren, she has 20 great grandchildren with another on the way, and many bonus great grandchildren.
Tressie was not only a loving, caring, giving daughter, sister, wife, but also a loving mom to all that crossed her path.
Her death has taken a huge toll on her family.
Tressie battled a hard battle with breast cancer in 2010, she worked throughout treatment and even in her weakest days she'd have someone drive her to work.
Her strength touched so many.
Tressie lived in Long Beach, WA for 40+ years. That's where she called home.
We will be doing a celebration of life. It will be held July 18th at 1:00 pm at the Covered Pavilion at Riverside Park. 1820 Westside Hwy, Kelso WA, 98626.
Anyone and everyone she has ever touched the hearts of is welcome. We will be providing a BBQ style luncheon. It will be some of her favorite foods and drinks.
Tressie's daughter, Lisa King will be the contact and does ask that you let her know by July 11th if you will be attending. You can text her at (360) 270-5060. This is so she can make sure all will be fed. It's what Tressie would have wanted. Please bring the kids, don't let that keep you from coming. Tressie loved being surrounded by her loved ones and all the grandkids and great grandkids.
This will be a good memories event.
Tressie is and will be dearly missed by all she has touched the hearts of.
